PPWR CORRIGENDUM TEXT APPROVED BY THE NEW EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

The next step is the formal approvement by the European Council and that is expected mid December 2024.
Consequently the text of the PPWR will be published in the EU Official Journal (Q1 / 2025) and the Regulation will enter into force 18 months later (2026).

Delegated and Implementing Acts are in the next phase with FEFPEB alert on key topics:
• Packaging minimization
• Legal title and ownership
• Design for recycling
• Labelling
• Calculation rules and methods for re-use

The Task Force PPWR is very active on these topics and comments / text proposals to be developed.

Members of the Task Force will attend a webinar dedicated to PPWR on 16 December 2024, hosted by the European Commission.
